Supply Management Supervisor (Karawang Based) – Semiconductor & Electronics Manufacturing
Talent Hunts Indonesia is an Executive Search Agency based in Jakarta, currently working with a global semiconductor and electronics manufacturing enterprise in Karawang, who are looking for a highly strategic, detail-oriented, and commercially adept Supply Management Supervisor. Reporting to senior procurement leadership, this role is fully responsible for leading daily purchasing operations, managing complex local and overseas vendor networks, driving cost-saving initiatives, and governing high-value tender processes. The ideal candidate will combine deep expertise in SAP/MRP ecosystems with a solid track record in raw material sourcing, customs compliance, and inter-site equipment transfers within high-tech manufacturing environments.
Responsibilities:
Procurement Operations & PO Approval: Lead and supervise daily purchasing workflows (PR-to-PO conversions), perform detailed checks on buyer outputs, and execute Level 1 approvals.
Strategic Sourcing & High-Value Tenders: Execute advanced negotiation strategies for local and overseas materials, equipment, and services; conduct competitive bidding and tender processes for projects/contracts $\ge \text{US\$ 100K}$, summarizing results for HQ approval.
Supplier Performance & Relationship Management: Build and maintain strategic vendor relationships; conduct regular supplier performance reviews, audits, qualifications, and corrective action implementations in compliance with QHSE and ISMS standards.
Contract Management & User Engagement: Review and validate procurement contracts, quotes, and service agreements; coordinate with internal users for timely contract renewals and clarify complex RFQ parameters.
Inter-Site Logistics & Sourcing: Perform forwarder/mover selection and coordinate with global affiliate manufacturing sites for seamless raw material or machinery/equipment transfers.
Cost Optimization & Data Analytics: Analyze procurement expenditure data, execute cost-saving initiatives, and generate monthly operational/financial reports for management.
Regulatory & Audit Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with internal governance, customs regulations, ISO standards, and VDA 6.3 requirements; support regular updates for national industrial systems (SIINAS) and participate in customer/certification body audits.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Industrial Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Management, or a related discipline.
Minimum 10 years of total professional experience in procurement/purchasing, with at least 5 years directly in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
Mandatory Industry Experience: Solid background in Semiconductor, Electronics, EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services), PCB, or High-Tech Component Sourcing.
Advanced Technical Systems: Highly proficient in operating SAP (Procurement Modules) and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems.
Deep familiarity with quality and automotive standards including ISO management systems, VDA 6.3, and HSE compliance.
Fluent in English is a strict requirement for daily communication with overseas suppliers, HQ, and global affiliate sites.
Strong leadership, mature mindset, high-level negotiation capability, and data-driven analytical thinking.
Willing to be fully based in Karawang, West Java.
