Senior Sales Engineer (Bekasi Based) - Industrial Equipment

Talent Hunts Indonesia is an Executive Search Agency based in Jakarta, currently partnering with a prominent distributor of valves and automation located in Bekasi. We are looking for a high-performing Senior External Sales Engineer to lead business expansion and manage technical sales for the industrial sector. This role is designed for a results-driven professional who excels at "hunting" new business and maintaining high-level technical relationships. Working closely with the Director of Sales, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise, streamlining the sales process, and delivering customized automation solutions to a diverse client base. The ideal candidate will have a strong existing network and the ability to simplify complex technical concepts into actionable business proposals.

Job Description:

  • Business Development: Actively prospect and generate new leads to expand the customer base within the assigned territory.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong rapport with existing clients to ensure long-term loyalty and satisfaction.
  • Technical Sales Presentations: Conduct site visits and presentations to showcase product offerings and the company’s technical capabilities.
  • Solution Engineering: Collaborate with internal teams to provide technical support and deliver tailored proposals and quotations in a timely manner.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify emerging business opportunities.
  • Sales Target Achievement: Consistently meet or exceed sales objectives and KPIs set by the management team.
  • Brand Representation: Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to enhance brand awareness and networking.
  • Executive Support: Assist the Sales and Operations Directors with strategic requirements and other business-related tasks.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5 – 8 years of relevant sales experience, with direct expertise in valves and related industrial equipment.
  • Network: Must possess a strong existing client base within the industrial sector.
  • Communication: Excellent proficiency in English and Bahasa Indonesia (both written and spoken).
  • Technical Aptitude: Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively and simply to various stakeholders.
  • Soft Skills: Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a collaborative team.
  • Tools: Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and/or CRM software.
  • Mobility: Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
