This role will be responsible for overseeing the governance and execution of key SAP Basis activities, including system upgrades, security patches, and performance tuning across the SAP ecosystem. This role plays a critical part in managing the technical landscape, ensuring SOX compliance, and collaborating with managed services partners to maintain optimal system health. The position requires a technical expert with a deep understanding of SAP HANA, Solution Manager, and cloud integrations within a complex, global IT environment.

Job Description:
- Governance & System Maintenance: Oversee updates, upgrades, and interconnections of all SAP components, including OSS notes deployment and periodic Kernel/HANA upgrades.
- Security & Compliance: Responsible for SAP security patches, hotfix deployments, and supporting SOX and security audits to ensure landscape integrity.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor system performance, manage system tuning, and handle SAP HANA database dimensioning and adjustments.
- Solution Manager Oversight: Configure and maintain Solution Manager scenarios (CCLM, DVM) and provide guidelines to managed services partners for client administration.
- Strategic Architecture: Collaborate with the Architecture group to define technical landscapes, integrations, and future roadmaps for SAP solutions and services.
- Project & Stakeholder Collaboration: Interface with Program Office, Development, and Testing teams to provide technical guidance and best practices for IT/SAP-related projects.
- Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Develop in-house Basis skills by creating comprehensive system documentation and conducting training for internal teams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5–8 years of IS&T application support experience, with specific expertise in SAP Basis operations, Transport Management, and Solution Manager.
- Hands-on experience with SAP Solution Manager (ITSM, CHARM, CSOL, CCLM, DVM, PPM).
- Proven experience in SAP Landscape design, sizing, installation, and upgrades (ABAP and JAVA stacks).
- Strong technical knowledge of SAP ECC, S4Hana, GTS, SCM, and cloud applications (BTP, IBP, ALM, etc.).
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies and integration engines (e.g., SAP Data Services, Dell Boomi).
- Proven ability to collaborate in complex environments and influence diverse teams of stakeholders.
- Experience with SAP cloud ALM and license audits is a significant asset.
