Sales Manager / Engineer (Valve Supplier Industry) - Jakarta & Medan Based

Talent Hunts Indonesia is an Executive Search Agency based in Jakarta, currently working with Valve Supplier Company, who are looking for talent for their Sales Manager / Engineer. This position will be responsible for Proactively seek and develop new business opportunities and revenue streams for the assigned market, identifying and engaging potential clients and opportunities.

Job Description:

  • Identify and develop new clients and business opportunities within target industries.
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through networking, field visits, and digital outreach.Lead the entire sales cycle, including inquiry handling, proposal drafting, quotation, negotiation, and closing.
  • Develop customized solutions based on client needs and technical requirements.
  • Build long-term relationships with key decision-makers and technical teams at client sites.
  • Provide excellent pre-sales and post-sales support to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Understand valve specifications, flow control systems, and related equipment.
  • Work closely with technical teams to recommend the best-fit products and solutions.
  • Track and report sales activities, client interactions, and market insights to the Director.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (logistics, engineering, finance) to support client needs.

Requirements:

  • Minimum a Diploma (D3) or Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the valve, pump, or instrumentation industries.
  • Prior experience in industrial sales or project-based B2B selling is highly preferred.
  • Good understanding of technical drawings, P&IDs, and basic mechanical flow principles.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and preferably English.
  • Proven ability to handle negotiations, build client rapport, and close deals.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with CRM tools is a plus.
  • Able to work under pressure, independently or as part of a team, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ownership mindset, target-oriented, and proactive in driving results.
