Quality Manager (Karawang Based) - Chemical Manufacturing

Talent Hunts Indonesia is an Executive Search Agency based in Jakarta, currently working with Chemical Manufacturing Company, who are looking for talent for Quality Manager. This role will be responsible for maintaining product quality, investigating deviations, managing audits, and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). The position requires strong leadership in quality assurance, risk management, and regulatory compliance, ensuring the company consistently meets both customer and industry standards.

Job Description:

  • Ensure all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are properly followed and samples are tested with accuracy, investigating any deviations and implementing preventive actions.
  • Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) and product certifications, conducting regular Management Reviews to communicate key issues and improvement areas to top management.
  • Guarantee all current quality certifications (e.g., ISO, GMP, SNI) are sustained without major or critical audit findings, and ensure timely closure of all audit CAPA plans.
  • Facilitate and evaluate the adequacy of quality risk assessment procedures and their management.
  • Oversee adherence to QMS for all product categories, including Antiperspirant and Water Treatment lines.
  • Lead customer complaint investigations, ensuring root cause analysis (RCA) and CAPA plans are effectively implemented to prevent recurrence.
  • Provide comprehensive training on QMS topics such as change control management, deviations, risk assessment (FMEA), and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
  • Review and validate finished product specifications to ensure alignment with technical transfer documents (TTD) and quality agreements from R&D or customers.
  • Coordinate with external laboratories when necessary to ensure timely testing support during high-demand or emergency situations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related fields.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding and hands-on experience with ISO 9001:2015, GMP, SNI, and other quality-related audits.
  • In-depth knowledge of local regulatory compliance and industry standards.
  • Proficient in audit processes, investigation techniques, risk assessment, GMP principles, and QMS implementation.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, analytical thinking, and leadership skills, with proven experience in training and presenting to cross-functional teams.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in English (oral and written), capable of effective daily communication.
