Job Description:
- Fragrance Creation: Conceptualize, develop, and design distinctive perfumes for personal care, home care, and other fragrance applications.
- Sensory Analysis: Conduct and oversee sensory evaluations to ensure the fragrance meets customer expectations and industry standards.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with R&D, marketing, and product development teams to create fragrances that align with brand identity and consumer needs.
- Trend Identification: Monitor market trends and consumer behavior to help forecast future fragrance directions and provide innovative solutions.
- Formulation and Adjustment: Expertly blend raw materials and adjust formulations based on customer feedback and production constraints.
- Quality Control: Ensure that fragrance creations meet regulatory requirements, quality control standards, and customer specifications.
- Mentorship and Guidance: Provide guidance to junior Perfumists and share best practices, helping to elevate the team's overall expertise.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Perfumery, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Perfumist in the fragrance industry, with a proven track record of creating commercial fragrances.
- In-depth knowledge of perfume ingredients, their characteristics, and applications.
- Expertise in sensory science and the ability to assess and fine-tune fragrances with precision.
- Strong creativity, with an eye for innovation and staying ahead of market trends.
- Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team, including R&D, marketing, and production.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
