Operational Manager (Area Sales Manager) - Jakarta Based - Building Material Industry

Talent Hunts Indonesia is an Executive Search Agency based in Jakarta, currently working with a leading Building Material company in North Jakarta, who are looking for talent for Operational Manager (Area Sales Manager). This role will be responsible for leading and managing the sales team to achieve set targets and drive business growth within the project and retail segments. This role plays a critical part in developing strategic market plans, maintaining high-level relationships with key stakeholders in the construction industry, and expanding market share for both government and private projects. The position requires a high-energy leader with extensive networking in the facade, aluminum, or glass industry and a proven track record in project-based sales.

Job Description:

  • Sales Leadership: Manage and mentor both head office and branch sales teams to ensure all targets and growth objectives are consistently met.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute detailed, measurable project sales plans and effective marketing strategies to expand customer coverage.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong rapport with Architects, Developers, Construction Consultants, Main Contractors, and Facade specialists.
  • Project Acquisition: Identify and penetrate new opportunities in both Government (BUMN, PU, PR) and private sectors.
  • Market Analysis: Analyze market trends and competitor movements to identify new opportunities and develop innovative solutions for customers.
  • Operational Oversight: Manage sales and marketing budgets effectively while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards in product delivery.
  • Team Development: Provide regular training and guidance to improve the skills and overall performance of the sales force.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an Assistant Manager or Manager in Building Material Projects (experience in the Facade, Aluminum, or Glass industry is a significant advantage).
  • Proven track record and strong networking with Architects, Developers, Construction Consultants, Main Contractors, and Facade Contractors.
  • Demonstrated experience in handling high-value sales for both Government (BUMN/PU) and Private projects.
  • Strong skills in planning, market analysis, and strategic thinking under high pressure.
  • Leadership-oriented, communicative, detail-oriented, and highly skilled in fast-paced execution.
  • Professional and well-presented.
  • Possession of a valid Driving License (SIM A).
  • Willingness to travel out of town for business trips as required.
