Senior R&D Officer (Wonosobo Based) - Bulk Tea and Related Agricultural Products

This role requires strong formulation expertise, leadership in cross-functional coordination, and an understanding of quality and certification standards—especially for export readiness.

Job Description:
- Design, develop, and refine formulations for instant tea, herbal drinks, kombucha, and other plant-based functional beverages.
- Conduct stability testing, sensory analysis, and shelf-life studies for new and existing products.
- Source and evaluate new functional ingredients to ensure competitiveness and innovation.
- Oversee the transition of formulations from lab scale to pilot and mass production.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure technical feasibility and cost efficiency.
- Supervise pilot batch testing and refine formulations as needed based on outcomes.
- Develop and manage technical documentation such as COA, SDS, nutritional labels, and lab reports.
- Support regulatory and certification processes (e.g. BPOM, Halal, HACCP, Export requirements).
- Ensure product quality consistency across all batches.
- Guide and mentor junior R&D staff and lab assistants.
- Communicate effectively with QC, production, packaging, and marketing teams.
- Conduct regular evaluations of product performance and identify new development opportunities.
- Monitor global trends in tea, health beverages, and fermentation-based drinks.
- Provide insights to branding and marketing teams for product innovation opportunities.
- Maintain confidentiality of product formulas and research strategies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Food Technology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or Pharmacy.
- 3–5 years of experience in food or beverage R&D, preferably in tea or functional beverages.
- Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and BPOM/Halal certification standards.
- Strong ability in organizing technical documentation and regulatory support.
- Detail-oriented, disciplined, and capable of working independently and cross-functionally.
