R&D Manager - Food Industry

Job Descriptions:

1. Planning of Research and Product Development Activities:

  • Conduct literature reviews related to the research being undertaken.
  • Set work schedules.
  • Define research and development workflow.
  • Gather as much information as possible on product development from customers.
  • Coordinate with the Marketing department for the specifications requested by customers and for product matching.

2. Execution of Research and Product Development and Its Applications: 

  • Evaluate quality and price targets and take action when necessary.
  • Evaluate and find solutions to obstacles and deviations that occur during research.
  • Collaborate with the QC department for necessary analyses.
  • Prepare research reports.

3. Consumer Service: 

  • Assist and provide solutions to consumers if there are issues with purchased products or samples provided.
  • Visit consumers when required by the Marketing Department.
  • Analyze competitor samples provided by the Marketing Department for comparison or reference.
  • Provide product knowledge training when needed.


4. Control of Inventory for Materials and Equipment: 

  • Control the stock of materials and equipment in the R&D department.
  • Monitor the materials used in research.

5. Maintenance, Calibration, and Repair: 

  • Monitor the implementation of maintenance, verification, and calibration.
  • Provide status updates on the results of maintenance, verification, and calibration.

6. Perform other activities related to tasks and responsibilities assigned by the supervisor


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Food Engineering or related field
  • At least 5 years of experience.
  • Expertise in Microbiological Analysis and Hydrocolloids.
  • Understanding of HACCP, GMP, Halal, Sanitation, and Food Safety.
  • Able to work in a team.
