Procurement Specialist (Mandarin Speaker) - Automotive Parts Manufacturing
Job Description:
- Supplier Management: Assist in identifying and developing relationships with key suppliers, particularly in Mandarin-speaking regions. Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, delivery, and service.
- Negotiation: Conduct negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms, including pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
- Sourcing: Support the sourcing of automotive parts and materials from both local and international suppliers, ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Order Management: Oversee the processing of purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of materials to meet production schedules.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels to avoid overstocking or stockouts, coordinating with the production and inventory teams to maintain optimal levels.
- Cost Analysis: Perform cost analysis and market research to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, ethical standards, and relevant laws and regulations.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and cost savings for management review.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including production, quality assurance, and logistics, to ensure smooth operations and resolve any procurement- related issues.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the automotive manufacturing industry.
- Experience in managing suppliers from Mandarin-speaking regions is highly desirable. (export/import)
- Fluency in Mandarin (both written and spoken) is required.
- Proficiency in English is essential.
