Operational Sales Manager - Construction

Job Description:

  • Responsible for creating and developing a new department “mining”, with new business opportunities within Indonesian market, and for supporting the business with the development of strategic business planning and value propositioning.
  • Responsible for the market research of viable revenue streams, development of products, testing and validation. Identifying upcoming Tenders, and the subsequent securing of contacts and meetings with potential new clients.
  • The OSM will liaise as the first point of contact for all business leads – providing technical data on the company products, solutions, and services; and for the timely response of quote requests.
  • The achievement of business growth, in alignment with the company Strategic Objectives and Targets, and detailed in a (2x) yearly updated business plan “Mining entry”.
  • Developing, testing, trailing, validating a range of required products in steel, mesh, resins, which comply with the client requirements and industry standards.
  • Building and leading a team as a manufacturer, supplier, installation support partner.
  • To establish, maintain and promote a professional corporate image whilst performing Business Development and Marketing interactions on behalf of the company.
  • Liaising with the company Internal and External Stakeholders – including Clients and Industry Partners and suppliers and employees, by establishing rapport, and focussing on the building and maintaining of professional, long-term relationships.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar position or industry.
  • Business or Engineering Degree.
  • Extensive Sales/Marketing experience within the mining product market (10+ years).
  • Extensive experience in the MINING Industry (especially Freeport market).
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field or a related discipline from a reputable university.
  • A master's degree in business administration (MBA) or a similar qualification is a plus.
  • Strong management and marketing skills with proven ability to target and win new business opportunities and build a business.
  • Ability to guide (a specialist to draft) professional marketing materials and proposals for Client presentations and tender submissions.
  • Strategic mindset – ability to negotiate with Stakeholders, and in building and maintaining a strong Client base and close deals.
  • Ability to understand technical concepts and converse at appropriate levels.
  • Driven, self-motivated and goal oriented.
  • Creative mindset – focused on new and innovative marketing techniques.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite.
  • Ability to produce professional business documents with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing an existing and growing Client base.
