As the General Manager Marketing will be responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of the company's marketing strategies, plans, and initiatives to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and revenue growth. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, product development, supply chain, and finance, to develop and implement marketing strategies that align with the company's business objectives. You will also manage a team of marketing professionals, providing direction, coaching, and mentorship to optimize team performance and achieve marketing goals. Your role will involve monitoring market trends, analyzing customer insights, and evaluating marketing performance metrics to continuously improve marketing efforts and contribute to the company's overall success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies, plans, and initiatives that align with the company's business objectives and drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and revenue growth.
- Lead and manage the marketing team, providing direction, coaching, and mentorship to optimize team performance and foster a culture of creativity, innovation, and collaboration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather market intelligence, analyze customer insights, and identify market trends and opportunities to develop effective marketing strategies and campaigns.
- Oversee the development and execution of marketing programs, including advertising, promotions, product launches, events, and digital marketing, to ensure consistent brand messaging and maximum impact.
- Manage the company's brand identity and reputation, ensuring brand consistency across all marketing materials and touchpoints, and maintaining a positive brand image in the market.
- Evaluate marketing performance metrics, such as sales data, customer feedback, and market research, to measure marketing effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to stay abreast of industry trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities, and incorporate findings into marketing strategies and plans.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and partners, to drive marketing initiatives, foster collaborations, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Manage marketing budgets, allocate resources effectively, and provide regular reports to senior management on marketing performance, ROI, and recommendations for marketing investments.
- Stay updated on the latest marketing trends, technologies, and best practices, and incorporate innovative approaches into marketing strategies to stay ahead of the competition.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in marketing or related roles, preferably in the consumer goods industry.
- Strong knowledge of marketing principles, strategies, and tactics, including brand management, digital marketing, product marketing, and customer acquisition.
- Proven experience in leading and managing marketing teams, with a track record of achieving results and driving marketing excellence.
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to analyze market data, customer insights, and marketing performance metrics to inform marketing strategies and plans.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team of marketing professionals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Familiarity with consumer goods industry trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities.
- Proficient in digital marketing, social media, and marketing automation tools.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Marketing Executive (CME) or Chartered Marketer (CM) are a plus.
