Business Unit Manager – Medium Voltage (MV) Panel (Tangerang Based)
Talent Hunts Indonesia is an Executive Search Agency based in Jakarta, currently working with a leading company in the Electrical & Electronic Manufacturing sector, who are looking for a visionary and highly technical Business Unit Manager – Medium Voltage (MV) Panel. This strategic leadership role is responsible for driving the full P&L, business growth, and market expansion of the MV Panel Business Unit. The position demands a balanced combination of deep technical mastery in power distribution systems (up to 20 kV and above) and proven commercial leadership to manage cross-functional teams from sales and engineering to project execution. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience navigating relationships with EPCs, utilities, and industrial consultants to secure major electrification and infrastructure mandates.
Job Description:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive business strategies to drive revenue growth, profitability, and market share expansion for the MV Panel Business Unit.
- Market Expansion: Identify and capture new business opportunities within utility, industrial manufacturing, commercial infrastructure, and large-scale EPC sectors.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain high-level relationships with key customers, engineering consultants, main contractors, EPC companies, and national utility stakeholders.
- Cross-functional Governance: Lead, mentor, and manage diverse cross-functional teams including Sales, Engineering, Proposal, Project Management, and Field Service.
- Proposal & Bid Management: Oversee the development of complex technical and commercial proposals, ensuring absolute compliance with customer specifications and company margin objectives.
- Project Delivery Oversight: Monitor project execution pipelines to guarantee that all switchgear and panel installations meet quality, budget, safety, and strict delivery schedules.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare detailed business plans, market forecasts, annual budgets, and operational performance reports for corporate senior management.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive operational excellence and lean initiatives across design engineering, localized manufacturing, and on-site testing/commissioning workflows.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Electrical Engineering, preferably with a specialization in Power Systems or Electrical Power Engineering.
- A Master’s Degree (S2/MBA) in Business Management or Electrical Engineering is a significant advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a managerial or leadership position directly overseeing P&L or business operations.
- Proven track record within relevant industries: Medium Voltage (MV) Panels, Switchgear, Transformers, Power Distribution Systems, or Electrical EPC Projects.
- Deep technical understanding of medium-voltage power distribution systems, Single Line Diagrams (SLD), and electrical design engineering.
- Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia for technical presentations and commercial negotiations.
- MV Power Distribution Systems (up to 20 kV and above) and MV Switchgear Panel Systems.
- Hands-on knowledge of Vacuum Circuit Breakers (VCB), Protection Relays, and Protection Coordination.
- Familiarity with Current Transformers (CT), Potential/Voltage Transformers (PT/VT), and Busbar Systems.
- Basic understanding of SCADA, Power Monitoring Systems, and Power Quality Analysis.
- Strong familiarity with international and local standards (IEC, IEEE, and applicable Indonesian regulations).
- Willing to be based in Jakarta.
